On 4 February, 133 passengers were brought back to Malaysia from the origin of the outbreak of Coronavirus, Wuhan, China successfully.
According to Bernama, on 3 February, this special flight, AK8264, that was to carry out the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 2), bringing along 500,000 pairs of rubber gloves as a contribution to the Chinese government who is fighting against the outbreak of Wuhan Coronavirus.
The flight was said to be boarded with 133 passengers from Wuhan, including 88 Malaysians, 19 non-citizens who are family members of the Malaysian and 12 crew members.
One of the crew members, Muhammad Nadzmi, posted a selfie on Instagram. He captioned the photo, ‘Bringing Malaysians Home. Such an experience’, featuring all crew members in ‘protected armor’.
This posting also received over 1,500 likes and 100 comments.
Netizens were so proud of their spirits and too proceeded to leave positive and encouraging comments.
Nadzmi then posted a video on his Facebook and IG TV, filming the process of this amazing mission. His video went viral after his sister shared it on her Twitter account, saying that, ‘My brother made a vid on the flight to Wuhan that brought back our fellow Malaysians.’ This 1.32-minute-long video has gotten 591.1k views, up till now.
Netizens were so overwhelmed by watching the video and seeing how Malaysians united to help each other.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail mentioned in Malay Mail, saying that all 133 passengers would have to receive a health screening at the Air Disaster Unit (ADU) at the KLIA.
"Those found to have the symptoms will immediately be sent to a hospital, while others will be taken by bus to a monitoring center where they will be under observation for 14 days, ” she said, according to The Star.
