The Malaysia Prime Minister just had his media conference today, March 23 at 1 pm.
For those who have missed out on this conference, here a list of things that our PM announced, according to China Press:
1. Malaysians who aged below 55 are allowed to withdraw RM500 monthly from the account 2 of their Employee Provident Fund (EPF), up to 12 months.
2. The government will allocate funds of RM500 million to the Ministry of Health to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
3. The government will allocate another RM100 million to the Ministry of Health to hire 2000 contracted medical staff.
4. PTPTN loaners could extent their payment for 6 months, effective from today onwards.
The PM mentioned that previously it was said that the payment for PTPTN will be extended for 3 months, and it has been further extended to 6 months, as reported in a separate report by China Press.
