Selangor residents might be in for an unexpected treat this Monday if the current administration retains power. Outgoing Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, has made an intriguing announcement regarding a potential special public holiday for the state.
Amidst the fervor of the state election, Amirudin Shari disclosed that this unique public holiday would come into effect if the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) alliance secures victory in the state election, scheduled for tomorrow.
In a heartfelt address that was broadcast live, Amirudin Shari expressed his sentiments regarding this gesture of appreciation for the people of Selangor. He stated, "With a big heart, I would like to announce that if the collaboration in Selangor made up of PH and BN successfully emerge victorious in the state election this August 12th, and forms the state government, we have agreed to announce a public holiday for all our beloved people in the state on August 14th."
