I love potatoes. Fries, crisps, chips, hash brown, mashed. I love them in every way and form the come in. So, when I found this deliciously crispy and crunch potato recipe, I for sure was going to try it and give it a little spin of my own.
Here’s the recipe for the most delicious garlicky crispy and crunchy recipe:
Ingredients:
6-8 small sized potatoes
3 tablespoons of melted butter
2 cloves of crushed garlic
2 teaspoons of some cajun seasoning *optional
3/4 tsp salt (for sprinkling)
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
1. After thoroughly washing the potatoes, boil them with some salt for about 20 – 30 minutes until soft.
2. Preheat oven to 200°C.
3. Drain the potatoes and let them air dry for about 5 minutes.
4.To a large bowl, add your melted butter, crushed garlic, cajun seasoning, salt and pepper.
5. Add potatoes to the bowl and coat with the butter mixture. Save the remainder mixture for later.
6. It is smashing time! Place on the baking tray then use a glass cup to smash them while still keeping them in one piece.
7. Drizzle the remainder butter mixture on the top of the potatoes.
8. Bake for 20-30 minutes until top is crispy then flip it over and bake for another 20-30 minutes until crispy.
9. Let them cool for a while. Serve while still warm with some chili sauce.
