In a shocking turn of events, the search for a beloved elderly fisherman, who was reported missing and believed to have been attacked by a crocodile in the Kampung Mas-Mas Nasib Kita River, has concluded with a gruesome discovery. Today, authorities found the lifeless body of the man inside the stomach of a colossal crocodile weighing over 800 kilograms and measuring a staggering four meters in length.

The successful operation, carried out by dedicated members of the Department of Wildlife, saw the reptile responsible for the attack shot dead at approximately 3 a.m. The massive crocodile was believed to be the culprit behind the unfortunate victim's disappearance.

Jemishin Ujin, the Chief of the Tawau Fire and Rescue Department, revealed that upon examining the crocodile's stomach, they tragically found human remains suspected to be those of the missing fisherman. Following this disturbing discovery, the victim's family members were called to the Disaster Control Operations Center for identification before the case was handed over to the police for further action.

The incident unfolded when the victim, identified as Addi Bangsa, aged 60, reportedly vanished, presumably snatched by the crocodile while attempting to board his boat for a fishing expedition around 4 a.m.

In the aftermath of this harrowing revelation, the search and rescue operation, which had been ongoing, was finally brought to a close at approximately 1 a.m.

The local community is left in shock and mourning as they come to terms with this tragic event. Authorities are urging everyone to remain vigilant and exercise caution near water bodies, especially in areas known to be inhabited by dangerous wildlife.
