On Wednesday, 2nd August 2023, a heart-wrenching incident shocked the community when a Malaysian woman tragically lost her life due to complications arising from a medical aesthetic procedure she had allegedly gotten from an unlicensed beauty physician. The incident has shed light on the potential dangers of engaging with unlicensed practitioners in the beauty industry. The unlicensed aesthetician, "Ayu Natasya," had garnered a considerable following on social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok, portraying herself as a successful individual with a large clientele.

The victim, referred to as Wei Shan to protect her privacy, had placed her trust in Ayu's claims of providing "professional" and "reliable" high-quality services. Excitedly, Wei Shan made an appointment with Ayu for what was presented as a "breast augmentation with hyaluronic acid," a cosmetic procedure that she believed would enhance her appearance.

However, little did Wei Shan know that she was about to embark on a perilous journey that would ultimately cost her life. Ayu reportedly failed to inform her about the potential side effects associated with the procedure, leaving Wei Shan unaware of the risks involved.

Even before the procedure took place, Wei Shan expressed apprehension and considered postponing it. Regrettably, Ayu's assurance that the materials were already purchased convinced her otherwise. In hindsight, this would prove to be Wei Shan's final chance to avoid the tragedy that was about to unfold.

As the founder of QueenSecret, Ayu's actions raise significant questions about her ethical standards and commitment to the safety and well-being of her clients. Her lack of transparency and failure to disclose this crucial information may have played a direct role in Wei Shan's untimely demise.

Furthermore, the use of undisclosed substances and unregulated practices may have contributed to the severity of Wei Shan's condition, leading to her hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for two consecutive days before her tragic passing in the cold confines of a hospital room. She left behind her husband and two sons, both aged 10 and 7 respectively.
