5 Tips To Make Your Instant Noodles “Healthier”

Instant noodles are the favourite food for many people, especially students and young adults because they are affordable and easy to cook (as long as there is basically hot water). Besides, there are a variety of flavours for you to choose from. For example, tom yam, laksa, Soto, and others. 

However, it would be really unhealthy if you treat instant noodles as a regular meal because instant noodles contain too many calories and fatty acids. If you really have no choice but to eat instant noodles, then take note of the following 5 points and try your best to eat instant noodles healthily!


#1. Blanch The Instant Noodles With Water

It is best to simply blanch the instant noodles with hot water to remove the oil and antioxidants in the instant noodles. Afterwards, soak the instant noodles in water and add in seasonings. It will be healthier to eat in this way because it will not burden your body with oils and antioxidants!


#2. Don't Use Up The Seasonings Provided

Seasoning is the essence of instant noodles, but its sodium content is very high too! If you eat instant noodles at least two meals a day, then you will exceed the normal intake of sodium. It is recommended to put as little seasoning as possible when cooking instant noodles. It is just enough if you can put half a packet.


#3. Don't Drink Up All The Soup

Since the sodium content of the seasoning is extremely high, so try not to drink the soup and just eat the noodles!


#4. Add Some Ingredients To Supplement Nutrition

Try to make instant noodles more nutritious by adding some green vegetables, meat or eggs! In this way, you can actually consume fibre and protein while you are eating instant noodles.


#5. Try Not To Choose Fried Noodles

Nowadays, there are many kinds of instant noodles. In addition to the common fried noodles, some are non-fried noodles made by air-drying. Be careful next time when you choose instant noodles.
