In a chilling incident yesterday, a 43-year-old foreign man was discovered dead in a horrifying state, with his head severed, after allegedly falling from the 29th floor of a business building in Bandar Utama.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m., and the lifeless body was found by members of the public who were present at the scene.
Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, the District Police Chief of Petaling Jaya, stated that officers from Damansara Police Station immediately responded to the location upon receiving a call regarding the incident.
"In our preliminary investigation, we found that the man worked as a dishwasher at a restaurant on the 29th floor of the said building. According to closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, he was seen on the balcony at 2:46 p.m., and then his presence was no longer visible, suggesting that he may have fallen from the balcony," he said in a statement today.
Mohamad Fakhrudin added that the deceased man's body was taken to the University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) for further examination.
Authorities are urging individuals who may have witnessed the incident or were present at the location to come forward and provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
