In the age of content creation, there are thousands of people vying for the spotlight by becoming an influencer or perhaps wanting to teach new skills to the public via social media platforms. Regardless of what videos it be, one must always remember to try and remain as respectful as possible while trying to entertain millions of people. However, one influencer has come under fire recently for his less than thought out actions during a teaching livestream.
Taking to X, user Sarah (@_asyahhhh) posted up an incident she had caught on video featuring a fairly blasphemous action of famous influencer Ustaz Tido, while teaching on his livestream recently.
I'm sorry tapi perangai mcm ni sgt terkutuk. Sblh skrin paparan Quran, sebelah lagi terkinja2.

In the 30-second clip, it shows the Ustaz doing a small celebratory dance as he amassed 6,500 viewers on his stream. While this may sound harmless at first, Sarah points out that he is doing all this, while an image of a surah from the Quran is displayed right next to him, which can be deemed as highly disrespectful.
"I'm sorry but this kind of behavior is very cursed. One side of the screen displays the Quran, the other side is the screen."
"This is a difficult matter, but I hope the authorities can intervene. If you can make a policy to filter religious influencers , please do it,"
Following the release of the clip, netizens have voiced their outrage over his antics and some even revealed that the Ustaz, who has over 130,000 followers on Instagram and over a million on Facebook, has previously been criticised for his behaviour on his streams, which can be dated back as early as during the Covid-19 pandemic.
During his lessons, he stated that he is only able to teach his class as soon as all the students reveal their faces on their cameras. On top of that, in one such live broadcast, he insisted one of his female students to turn on her camera before he will begin teaching the Quran.
While trying to teach your followers and give them some education and inspiration is always admirable, although care and respect must always be shown towards to classes, especially when your main topic at hand, is an incredibly religious one.
