Muhammad Haryz Nadzim, a three-year-old who has received global attention after he was being tested to have an amazingly high IQ score, 142 on the Stanford Binet test. With this incredible achievement, he has become the current youngest ‘genius’ in Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world.
According to Malay Mail, this unbelievable score places UK-based, Haryz in the top 0.3% of the population. His mother, Nur Anira Asyikin Hashim indicated that Haryz uttered his first word when he was seven months old. What’s more amazing is that Haryz started to read himself bedtime stories. How independent is this child?
His parents, Anira and Mohd Hilmy Naim Mohd Yakin who both have engineering backgrounds mentioned that they have never thought that their son is special.
“We didn't have much experience, so we just thought that's how kids were,” said Anira. Putting aside his extraordinary IQ, Haryz enjoys many things, just like a normal three-year-old.
“He enjoys jumping in puddles, painting, singing, all the normal stuff for a child of that age. His favorite television programs are Story Bots and Numberblocks, but he often prefers having conversations with older peers and adults,” explained Anira.
Other than that, according to Metro UK, Haryz sometimes likes to have conversations with older friends and adults, asking questions and discussing matters about space and numbers.
His parents helped Haryz to create a YouTube channel, ‘Little Haryz’, featuring himself reading bedtime stories. His YouTube channel has now achieved a 2.15k subscriber with only four videos! Speaking of Haryz’s accomplishments, his parents felt excited and they hoped that this would be the first step for him to accomplish greater things in life. Meanwhile, they too expressed that they do not want him to feel under pressure and also wanted to avoid making him feel stressed.
“It’s exciting and we are sure this will help him in giving him a little bit of belief and confidence in himself so he can better benefit society in the future,” said Anira, in Malay Mail.
“The most important thing is that he is happy with what he is doing, and we will be proud of him no matter what he achieves.” she further added.
Regardless of everything, we feel proud of you, Little Haryz! You go, boy!
