A former news anchor who is now one of the well-known YouTubers in Sarawak is contesting as an Independent candidate in the 12th Sarawak State Election (PRN-12).
Fadhil Mohamad Isa, 37, or better known as'Cardock' by his supporters felt called to contest in the Dudong State Assembly (DUN) after seeing that most of the people in his community still do not have the privilege of internet access.

For Cardock, as a social media influencer, he sees the Internet not only as an important medium in obtaining information but in an important way that it is able to provide an opportunity to change the lives of any community if used right, especially those who use social media to earn income.
"Although Dudong can be considered as partly developed as it is located in an urban area, most of it still consists of severe urban areas without basic facilities and internet coverage," he explained.
In the effort to gain support in the area, the former TV9 news anchor said he had been preparing for this position since 2018. "I want the Dudong community to progress, and having internet access will be the catalyst of further development in the area, which will hopefully open up many opportunities for them to earn income to change their lives if they use it well," he said at the nomination ceremony, today.
It'd certainly be interesting and possibly refreshing to see the younger generation's style of leadership, should they win. Who are you rooting for in the Sarawak State Election?
