According to The Star, there will be eight road closures and more roadblocks in Kajang, starting tomorrow (April 8), as mentioned by the district police chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussoff in the report. This implementation is to limit Malaysians' movement during the 2nd phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO), which includes the closures that would involve the road going to Kajang town.
The roads affected are:
1. Jalan Sungai Chua-KTM Tunnel Slip Road;
2. Jalan Reko-MRT;
3. Jalan Cheras- Jalan Timur (opposite the Kajang Jamek Mosque);
4. Jalan Semenyih-Jalan Low Ti Kok;
5. The slip road towards Jalan TTDI Grove 2/1 from Persiaran Saujana Impian;
6. Jalan TTDI Grove 1/1.
7. Persiaran Saujana Impian-Jalan Melor 1;
8. Jalan Sungai Kantan from Desa Jenaris;
9. Persiaran Saujana Impian;
10. The road bordering Bandar Seri Putra- Nilai 3
Alternative route:
1. From Persiaran Saujana Impian and Grand Saga Highway will be via Jalan Cheras to Kajang;
2. From Sungai Chua will be via SILK Expressway to the Grand Saga Highway to Jalan Cheras Kajang;
3. From Jalan Reko via SILK Highway: Jalan Bukit to Kajang town;
4. Jalan Low Ti Kok;
5. Jalan Timur via Jalan Cempaka Kuning;
6. Cempaka Putih.
7. People in Kajang town will have to go through Jalan Timur and Cempaka Kuning to go to Kajang district police headquarters; Kang Court; MPKL; and the Kajang Plaza Medical Centre.
7 roadblocks will be at:
1. Grand Saga Highway (Kuala Lumpur-bound);
2. Kajang Toll Plaza;
3. Bangi Toll Plaza;
4. Bandar Sri Putra Toll Plaza;
5. Kajang Selatan Toll Plaza (LEKAS);
6. Batu 21 Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat; and
7. SJR Batu 24 Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat.
3 more roadblocks to be added at KM1 of:
1. The Besraya Highway (UPM-bound);
2. Sungai Ramal Dalam (Putrajaya-bound); and
3. Jalan Cheras Batu 14 (opposite KPJ Kajang-towards Kajang).
