Johorean Policeman Ran into Pedestrian While She Was Crossing The Road

The tragic incident took place in Batu Pahat at around 7:45 AM when a 46-year-old woman was crossing the road and a policeman on a motorcycle ran into her. 

According to Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah, the victim Ang Hui Yin, was crossing the road along KM6 Kalan Kluang-Batu Pahat at that time. 

The policeman who is 53 years old was on his way to work in Batu ahat from Parit raja when the incident happened. 

The victim was severely injured and died at the scene while the policeman was also badly injured and sent to Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail for medical treatment.

ACP Ismail explained that it was drizzling at the time of the incident, and he also stated that road users should obey the road regulations and be alert for pedestrians at all times. He also advised the public to be careful when crossing the road. 

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
