Let's just cut to the chase— Google now allows you to lock your search history. Yes, this is not a prank.
Sure, you can always simply erase your search history altogether, but what if you need to revisit them in the future, or you simply don't want to lose track of your favorite but lowkey shady search histories (hey, no judgments here)? Google has made it easier for you to still be able to browse your search history while keeping it all hidden.
Here's how:
1. Go to the activity.google.com page in a web browser and make sure that you've already signed in to your Google account.
2. Click on the “Manage My Activity Verification” as shown below.
3. Select “Require Extra Verification” and click “Save.” on the pop-up message once it appears.
4. An account verification will be required to continue. Fill in the necessary details.
5. That's it!
Now every time you need to access your search history, Google will ask to verify if it's really you, so it's FBI-level secured. Do what you will with this information. Have fun!
