In a scene that could have been pulled straight out of a comedy film, a lorry driver was left completely stunned when his windshield was shattered by a most unexpected object a flying chicken.
The incident occurred on a highway yesterday morning around 8:08 a.m., and the driver, a Malay man, shared the peculiar encounter on the "DashCam Malaysia" Facebook group. According to the dashcam footage, the driver was minding his own business, cruising along the road, when suddenly, out of nowhere, a chicken took flight and collided head-on with his vehicle.
"I don't know what to say. You (the chicken) are not a bird, you don't need to fly. Just walk or run on the road, don't try to compete with the crows," the driver humorously wrote in his post, trying to make light of the bizarre situation.
The dashcam video captured the dramatic moment when the chicken, seemingly out of nowhere, flew across the road and smashed directly into the lorry's windshield, shattering the glass into pieces. The force of the impact was strong enough to completely destroy the windshield, though, miraculously, no one was injured in the process.
Upon reviewing the footage, the driver was left bewildered by what he described as "chicken-like behavior". He jokingly compared the bird's flight to that of an eagle swooping down to hunt its prey, though the unfortunate chicken was the one that didn't survive the impact.
The post quickly gained attention on social media, with users commenting on the sheer oddity of the situation. Many were amused by the driver's witty response, while others couldn't help but marvel at the randomness of a chicken taking flight on a highway.
While it's not every day that you see a flying chicken, this highway incident proves that anything can happen on the road. Fortunately, despite the windshield shattering and the chaos it caused, no injuries were reported though the chicken, sadly, didn't survive the adventure.
For the driver, the bizarre event will likely be one to remember. And for the rest of us, it's a reminder that even the most unexpected can take flight literally.
