03-Oct-2020

Many people may think of resignation after they have worked hard in the workplace for a few years, or when they are not getting along well with colleagues.

Many people may regret immediately after resigning. If you do not want to affect your career development, you may consider the following 6 factors before resigning, and then rationally analyze whether you should resign!

1. Reflect On What Makes You Happy At Work

When you feel tired of working, ask yourself when you feel the happiest at work, and what is the reason behind it?

The reasons could be having friendly colleagues, gaining job satisfaction, or even having a good boss.

If you find that these happy factors are now slowly disappearing, then changing the job may also be a good thing!

2. Evaluate Whether Your Abilities Are In Line With Your Job

Next, you must consider whether your best skills are consistent with your current job.

If they do not match or there is even a big gap, you must ask how passionate you are for this job?

If you want to continue with the current job but lack of skills, you can improve your skills through advanced studies.

3. Assess Your Own Constructiveness In The Company

Will your position be replaced at any time? Do you find your value in the company? Can you get a real sense of accomplishment from your work?

If you feel that you are powerless and can't stand this feeling of humbleness, then switch to a job where you can find your identity!

4. Judge Your Stressfulness When You Are At Work

When the workload or stress is too much, it will affect your psychological condition because it will cause insomnia or anxiety.

Therefore, work and life must be balanced and not be overly stressed!

5. Appraise Your Initial Work Goals

Everyone has a goal when they first enter a job, such as hoping to become a manager or supervisor in the future, save a sum of money, or learn a certain skill.

Before you consider whether you should resign, consider the following questions: Did you achieve your goals? If it has been completed, do you have other goals worth striving for in this company? For example, continue to be promoted.

If you have not completed the above goals, are you still able to achieve the goals in this company?

6. Estimate Your Future Development In The Company

You must also consider the company's structure and its development trends.

If the company's mechanism is full of loopholes or poor management, then don't waste time there and you should look for new job opportunities.
