The Health Director-General, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah has made a statement on his daily COVID-19 updates conference that these medical experts are not here to cure COVID-19 patients, they are here to share their experiences on handling the COVID-19 pandemic in Hubei province, China for 2 months, in hope that this would help Malaysia to control and fight the virus, according to Harian Metro.

"They came to talk about treatment and research, not just positive things but maybe some of the things they did that but didn't succeed, in order for us to learn and didn't make the same mistakes over and over again."
"In this discussion, many of our issues arise regarding the methods of treatment in the ward and ICU (intensive care unit) as well as research of specific detection and techniques on antigen use and so on," Dr. Noor Hisham added.
He also mentioned that this virus is new and most of them Malaysians have no experience, neither positive or negative, hence, both experiences are important to us.
"If successful, we would continue to use the method; if failed, we learn from the mistake so that we wouldn't repeat it," he expressed.
