A 36-year-old woman faced a harrowing experience as she narrowly escaped an armed robbery in Masjid Tanah, melaka. The incident occurred at 6:17 AM when the victim, driving a Proton Saga car, was intercepted by a suspect-driven vehicle. Two masked men armed with samurai swords approached the victim, causing extensive damage to her car's windows.
Additionally, a viral 29-second video captured the victim's narrow escape from the two assailants, who attempted to access the back door of her car before fleeing in a waiting vehicle by the roadside.

State Police Chief Datuk Zainol Samah reported that the victim's hand was injured during the attack, as the suspect shattered the car windows with the weapon. Despite the traumatic encounter, the victim managed to reverse her car and collide with another vehicle on the side of the road before seeking refuge at the Masjid Tanah Police Station. Following the incident, the victim was promptly taken to the Masjid Tanah Health Clinic and later transferred to the Melaka General Hospital for further medical attention.
The authorities have launched an investigation under Sections 393 and 427 of the Penal Code and have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
