After stalking and flashing a South Korean vlogger, a 25-year-old man was detained in the Indian city of Jodhpur, and the event gained widespread attention.
The 28-year-old woman documented the incident on her vlog, where the authorities were then alerted which led to the arrest.
The victim had allegedly been the target of a disturbing stalking harassment by the suspect, Deepak. Prior to then, he had seen her wandering alone. Deepak proceeded to move in front of her and blocked her while she was filming a vlog.
The footage of the incident, which the YouTuber later posted on social media, soon went viral.
In response, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) requested that Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, take appropriate action in a letter.
Just came across this video of a Korean vlogger who posted a video of her being sexually harassed in Jodhpur. This is extremely disgusting and shameful. People like these are spoiling the image of our great country. Am writing to Shri @AshokGehlot51 to take strongest action! pic.twitter.com/8vfjblcizx
