A 15-year-old male teen in South Sumatra, Indonesia may face hefty prison sentence after police confirmed that he stabbed his older brother to death in a fit of rage over instant noodles.
AL, a Musi Banyuasin resident, arrived home in the wee hours of Saturday with a pack of instant noodles he had just purchased from a neighbouring shop. Rivan, his 27-year-old brother, was irritated that AL didn't get one for him as well for their suhoor.

Rivan then slapped AL and pinched his face in frustration, according to the police. The younger brother was chopping onions and veggies to cook with the noodles when the victim smacked him across the face, and in retaliation he stabbed the older brother with the knife.
The older brother unfortunately did not survive his wounds.
The child has been charged with murder and is potentially facing up to 15 years in prison.
