In a concerning incident, two adult visitors suffered injuries after reportedly being ejected from a ride at a local funfair near the Likas Sports Complex in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The incident occurred tonight and involved a ride known as the 'squid ride,' with both male and female victims believed to have fallen during the ride's operation.

Videos and images capturing the incident swiftly went viral on various social media platforms. A Facebook user, present at the scene, shared details about the incident, expressing shock upon witnessing the aftermath of the victims lying on the ground.

In the shared post, the user recorded a video of the incident and conveyed sympathy for the injured visitors. The comment highlighted the sudden nature of the incident, with the onlooker stating, "The one next to us fell earlier. Is it tragic that they were thrown away here? Ehhh, scary..."

Responding promptly to the emergency, Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Deputy Fire Marshal I, Ordine Gilu, reported receiving a distress call at 8:58 PM. A team of personnel, including officers equipped with the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS), was swiftly dispatched to the funfair location.

Upon arrival, EMRS members provided initial medical treatment to the injured victims before transferring them to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (HQE) for further medical attention. The entire operation, from the emergency response to medical assistance, concluded at 9:40 PM.

As investigations into the incident are likely to unfold, concerns regarding ride safety and the circumstances leading to the visitors' injuries are being brought up by the netizens, questioning the lack of security measures that led to such a tragedy.
