A 43-year-old man has been arrested following a robbery incident in an apartment elevator involving a 14-year-old victim in Johor Bahru. The arrest was confirmed by Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, the South Johor Bahru District Police Chief.
The arrest came about after the teenage victim reported the incident, which occurred last Sunday at approximately 5:25 PM. The victim's report prompted swift action by law enforcement officials.

The incident has garnered significant attention since a couple videos began circulating yesterday. The video shows a teenage boy in an apartment residence elevator, visibly distressed, as he is robbed by a man wearing a motorcycle helmet. The troubling incident unfolded as the teenager, who was already in the elevator, was approached by two individuals both wearing motorcycle helmets. One of the suspects, however, stayed behind during the robbery.
According to Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, the police, led by the Chief of the Station, in collaboration with members of the Sector Patrol Unit (URS) from the Majidee Police Station, conducted a raid at the apartment complex in question.
Intriguingly, a review of the suspect's criminal history revealed that he had been involved in four previous criminal cases and three drug-related cases. Furthermore, a urine screening test conducted during the arrest indicated that the suspect had traces of morphine-type drugs in his system.
The case is currently under investigation in accordance with Section 392 of the Penal Code.
