A Member of Parliament from Kepala Batas is currently under fire following her claims of familial connections between their Chairman, Lim Guan Eng, and the communist figure Chin Peng.
Dr. Siti Mastura Muhammad has not provided an explanation or evidence supporting her allegations to the DAP. When confronted by reporters seeking her response after Guan Eng demanded evidence, she kept it brief, saying, "My response is to watch the video in its entirety."
During a press conference earlier today, Guan Eng granted Mastura two days to produce evidence if his familial ties to Chin Peng are indeed accurate. Chin Peng, also known as Ong Boon Hua, was a prominent figure in the Malayan Communist Party (MCP).
Guan Eng cautioned that her failure to do so could lead to legal action against her, as her allegations implicated him in connections with the former Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew.
He had earlier shared a video clip from social media where the Deputy Chief of PAS Muslim Women's Wing in Penang associated Guan Eng and his wife, Betty Chew Gek Cheng, with other DAP leaders, including Member of Parliament for Seputeh, Teresa Kok Suh Sim; Member of Parliament for Teluk Intan, Nga Kor Ming, and Member of Parliament for Beruas, Ngeh Koo Ham.
