Multiple schools have recently participated in Palestine Solidarity Week, aiming to show support for Palestine and its people. However, the manner in which some of these schools have chosen to express their solidarity has raised concerns.
In a compilation of pictures and videos shared by activist Siti Kasim, she expressed her objection to the approach taken by these schools, highlighting that the actions may not be sending the right message.
In the compilation, students can be seen holding toy guns, a display that has garnered attention for its potentially inappropriate nature within an educational setting. Furthermore, a video shows a few teachers pointing toy guns towards students, a gesture that has sparked criticism.
