One of the more noticeable changes in iOS 18.4 Beta 1 is the updated Apple CarPlay interface. Users with larger infotainment screens, like the 14-inch display in the Toyota Tundra, can now see three rows of apps instead of the usual two. However, those with smaller screens, such as the 9-inch display in a Honda Civic, may not experience this change.

Smarter Apple Intelligence Features

Apple's AI-powered Apple Intelligence has also received an upgrade. A new Priority Notifications feature helps users manage alerts more efficiently by highlighting the most important ones on the lock screen. Additionally, Sketch Style has been added to Image Playground, expanding the creative options for users who enjoy digital sketching.

Expanded Language Support

Apple Intelligence now supports additional languages, including Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish. English users in Singapore and India will also benefit from localized language support.

Apple News+ Food and Ambient Music

Apple News+ subscribers can explore a new Food section, featuring thousands of recipes and healthy eating tips. Meanwhile, iOS 18.4 Beta 1 also introduces Ambient Music, offering curated soundscapes in categories like Sleep, Chill, Productivity, and Well-being perfect for setting the right mood.

With these updates, iOS 18.4 Beta 1 brings small but useful refinements to Apple's ecosystem. The final version will likely roll out to the public in the coming weeks.
