The court has granted the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi permanent access to his passports.
The Court of Appeal decided unanimously to permit the deputy prime minister to travel abroad for official visits. As a result of that ruling, Zahid would no longer need the court's permission before travelling abroad.
Zahid, who is charged on 47 counts of money laundering and criminal breach of trust (CBT), as well as collecting bribes for a number of projects between 2013 and 2018; was initially denied his travel documents due to his ongoing trial.
