Garbage collectors are the unsung heroes of our country, in fact they're a crucial part of the equation that makes a functioning society, if you think about it. They work at odd hours and often have to endure the vile smell of our garbage. They certainly need appreciation once in a while.
This kind Malaysian you see in the video happened to be awake at 3 AM when his neighbourhood garbage collectors were doing their rounds. In the spirit of the Chinese New Year, he decided to give them quite a big amount of angpow as a little appreciation.
You could see through their faces how happy they all looked upon receiving the red packet. All in all a precious moment!
