The study's result presented that among 38 COVID-19 patients, 6 patients' semen samples were tested positive for COVID-19. The researchers too pointed out that the small numbers of samples have limited this study; hence, further research needs to be carried out to determine whether the virus will be transmitted through sexual intercourse.
"Once it is confirmed that the COVID-19 can be transmitted through sexual activity, the sexual transmission will become the focus of epidemic prevention."
The researcher mentioned that, in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 through sex, consider using condoms, or restraining sex.
