The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia or JAKIM has introduced a new initiative aimed at handling complaints related to insults against Islam by establishing a 24-hour hotline.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, has announced that JAKIM will collaborate with State Islamic Religious Departments (JAIN), the Royal Malaysia Police, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and other relevant entities to address issues concerning insults against Islam.
Members of the public are encouraged to report any instances of insult against Islam through the WhatsApp hotline at 017-3234533 or via email to [email protected].

Dr. Mohd Na'im highlighted the government's commitment to upholding the sanctity and dignity of Islam, emphasizing that individuals found guilty of insulting Islam will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
Additionally, Dr. Mohd Na'im urged all parties to act responsibly in order to maintain unity and harmony in the country, stressing the importance of unity for achieving the essence of Malaysia Madani.
