A routine tyre change turned tragic when a 65-year-old man lost his life in a fatal accident along the Kemuning-Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) on Monday.
According to Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim, the incident occurred around 12:30 PM when the victim stopped his car by the roadside due to a punctured tyre. While he was retrieving tools from his car boot, a pickup truck driver stopped behind him to offer assistance.
However, a bus collided with the pickup truck, pushing it forward and striking the unsuspecting man. The victim sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by Utusan Malaysia.
Police revealed that the man was on his way home to Taman Sri Muda, Section 25, after visiting Kuala Lumpur Hospital. Investigations into the accident are ongoing under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
