A group of men suspected of causing chaos, resisting arrest, using vulgar language against police officers, and assaulting civilians at the site of a fatal accident on kilometer 127 of Jalan Kuala Lumpur Kuantan in Temerloh, near Kuantan, has been identified by the police.
Temerloh District Police Chief, ACP Mazlan Hassan, revealed that a 42-year-old suspect with a history of group robbery, theft, and charges under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 (POCA) has been apprehended in connection with the incident.
Three men are alleged to have resisted and verbally abused a police sergeant who was present at the scene, while another individual claims to have been assaulted by five people for recording the incident involving the police officer.
The suspect is believed to have targeted the police officer in uniform due to dissatisfaction, claiming that the officer failed to assist the accident victim, despite the officer taking appropriate action.

The civilian who reported being assaulted is identified as a security guard present at the scene. The altercation resulted in injuries to his forehead, and all the windows of his vehicle were shattered.
The disturbance reportedly began when a group of individuals, presumed to be family members and friends of a 20-year-old teenager who died in the accident, arrived at the scene.
The victim, employed at a scrap metal shop, succumbed to severe head and right leg injuries after his motorcycle allegedly collided with the side of a Perodua Myvi making a U-turn in the dual carriageway lane.
The 75-year-old driver of the car involved in the accident emerged unscathed.
