In a recent incident that sparked online controversy, a frustrated Facebook user, Fajar Mustapha, took to social media to express her dismay after purchasing a cromboloni dessert from a local homebaker, only to receive an entirely different product.
The ordeal began when Fajar stumbled upon an advertisement for cromboloni, on a food delivery Facebook group. The ad showcased the delectable treat at the price of RM13 each. Being an ardent fan of cromboloni, she eagerly placed an order.
Anticipating the delectable dessert she had hoped for, Fajar's excitement turned to disappointment upon receiving her order. Contrary to her expectations, the dessert she received was completely different from what was advertised.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, Fajar promptly reached out to the baker, conveying her disappointment with the received dessert. Comparing it to other cromboloni she had previously enjoyed, she emphasized that this one didn't meet the mark at all.
The baker responded, clarifying that she was merely a homebaker who pursued baking as a hobby and apologized, stating that Fajar might have set her expectations too high. To this, Fajar countered, asserting that the baker shouldn't have used photos sourced from Google to advertise her products, misleading customers' expectations.
The incident caught the attention of netizens who stumbled upon Fajar's post, expressing their astonishment and disappointment at the situation. Many echoed Fajar's sentiments, stating that RM13 was too steep a price to pay for a dessert that didn't meet the advertised standards.
