Sometimes, the best of ideas don't quite pan out the way we hope, and one Malaysian netizen learned that the hard (and messy) way.
In a now-viral Facebook post, a woman decided to put a creative spin on transporting takeaway noodles in her car. To keep the soupy noodles upright and avoid any spillage, she ingeniously hung the plastic bag on the car's grab handle using a pair of chopsticks. The setup seemed foolproof, until it wasn't.
Her post included two telling photos. The first showed the hack in action, with the bag of noodles suspended mid-air, chopsticks doing their best impersonation of a hanger. The second? A sad scene of soup and noodles scattered across the car seat, the aftermath of a failed experiment.
"I thought I was smart for coming up with this method," she wrote. "Not even two minutes into the drive, it fell and spilled all over the car seat.
Unfortunately for her, the clean-up didn't just involve some tissues and water. The spill was so severe that she had to fork out a hefty sum to get the car seat professionally cleaned.
Naturally, the post attracted tons of attention online, with netizens flooding the comments section with jokes, sympathy, and unsolicited but often hilarious advice.
While the hack didn't quite work out, it definitely gave Malaysians something to laugh about. Lesson learned? Sometimes it's safer to just put the food on the floor.
