At 10 AM today, Judge Izralizam Sanusi announced the verdict, finding Siti Bainun responsible for teenage Bella's physical and psychological harm as a result of her neglect and abuse. After Bella was placed in Siti Bainun's care and began exhibiting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms, it was concluded that she had suffered emotional damage.
He sentenced the 31-year-old founder under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001, meaning she could be fined up to RM50,000 or jailed for up to 20 years or both.
