The video features a friendly uncle, a long-time resident of the area, guiding the House Tour Malaysia team through the building. He proudly explains the efforts made by the community to turn ordinary lift lobbies into spaces that feel warm, welcoming, and even luxurious.
Starting on the 9th floor, the lobby is decorated with a nature-inspired theme. Vibrant paintings of natural scenery line the walls, and picture frames are neatly placed in every corner. What stands out the most is a chandelier-style light fixture that adds a touch of elegance to the space. Murals created by the residents themselves reflect a message of unity and harmony between different races, including Malays, Indians, and Chinese.
To encourage social interaction, the lobby also features a small seating area where neighbors can gather and relax. According to the residents, the cost of transforming the space reached approximately RM2,000. Mirrors have also been installed, perfect for snapping OOTD (Outfit of the Day) pictures.
Over on the 8th floor, the concept takes on a more modern approach. The lobby is equipped with CCTV cameras to deter vandalism and ensure the area remains well-maintained. "The residents started discussions, and everyone agreed to decorate the lift lobbies. So, they began the project in December, and it will continue until March 2025," said the uncle in the video.
The 7th floor features a fun and vibrant beach theme. The walls are painted with coconut trees, and surfboards are displayed to bring the seaside vibe to life. Even the original concrete floor has been replaced with colourful mosaic tiles to match the theme.
The video has garnered widespread praise, with many social media users commending the residents for their unity, creativity, and sense of community. It's a heartwarming reminder of what can be achieved when neighbors come together with a shared goal to make their living space a better place for everyone.
