A police inspector has been placed under seven-day remand on suspicion of raping a complainant who had come to report an incident at his office within the District Police Headquarters (IPD) Tumpat.
During the remand proceedings, the lawyer representing the police officer, Mohd Firdaus Zainal Abidin, objected to the remand application on behalf of his client. However, the court ordered the police officer to be remanded for seven days for further investigation.
